pre-sales questions

We are enquiring about your hosted web based solution. We're building a new web site based on Cold fusion, and as part of this want to improve the way we analyse web site performance so we can continuously drive more traffic to the site and increase the value to visitors. A few questions:

1) Are there any limitations with the hosted version, over and above
what I saw in the demo. I.e. is the demo for a certain class of product,
that's different to the web version. We do google ads so that's important.
As the obviously clicks in certain parts of the page, referrers?, page the
user was at before, time spent etc.

2) Is adding the code to the web pages simple enough for a novice user to do, or do you need a web programmer? Our new site will have a content management system on it, that we will manage ourselves, so we need to be able to add pages and this code very simply (we are sales & marketing people with no coding experience)

3) Is the pricing in $USD?

Thank you for your questions.

Opentracker is compatible with cold fusion.

It was also built with the purpose of analysing web site performance in mind.

the demo version is the same as the complete package itself, there are a few reports, management features, and time ranges disabled in the demo, but on the whole it is identical. There is an extensive back-end management system available in the application itself.

We use the system to monitor our own Google Adwords campaign. It's important that you use the custom referrer? url feature in Google. This will help us distinguish between the clicks you purchase from Google and visitors who find you through organic search results.
Basically, we can provide you with info about the performance of all links leading in and out of your site. We can tell you which keywords? and search terms perform well, and which referrers bring you the most visitors. We can show you the "page before" (the results your visitors saw in a search engine? before coming to you), and which exit links? they follow from your site.

We designed the application to be as easy as possible to install.
When you create an account / add a site you get a line of html sent to you by email. You need to put in to the site pages. It is the same line for every page.

In a content management system, you need to find the place to "insert html" or something similar. It only needs to be done once, and then it takes care of itself. If there are problems, you can send us the FTP info & we'll upload the code for you.

We've produced a straight-forward step-by-step manual that describes a range of html editing programs, a .pdf which can be downloaded from our Support page: http://www.opentracker.net/en/support/support.jsp under Downloads. It is called 'user's guide - implementing the script'.

An experienced webmaster will insert the code in a few minutes.

Yes, pricing is in $USD.
